Are you ready for Halloween? Scream on the Green, Discovery Green’s annual Halloween celebration, invites you to join us for Spooktacular fun on Friday, October 25th.
Visitors will have a spooky good time at Houston’s citywide costume contest and Halloween celebration for the whole family! There will be games, prizes, live performances, living statues, fortune tellers, sing-a-long with KPFT Scary-oke, and more. Visitors can also win candy and prizes playing our FREE games!
The event, Bank of America Scream on the Green, is presented by Arandas Bakery, who will host a movie during the festivities. Enjoy watching The House with a Clock in its Walls. The movie screening centers on an orphan, who is initiated into a world of magic and mayhem by his eccentric warlock uncle and a matronly witch. He uses his newfound magical abilities to help them defeat the forces of evil that threaten to destroy his new home. The movie will begin at 7:30 pm.
Registration for the costume contest will take place on-site near the Anheuser-Busch stage beforehand, and winners will be announced at approximately 9:30 pm. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Costume contest registration opens at 6:45 pm on the side of the Anheuser Busch stage. Registration will close at 8:15 pm, with no exceptions.
