These two kid-approved crafts are affordable, fun, and great to do together as a family. Better yet, they rely on items you already have lying around your apartment home. Magnetic Tic Tac Toe
Materials:
- Cardboard
- Magnets
- Glue gun
- Marker
- A large magnetic surface, like your fridge
Instructions:
Cut circles out of cardboard. You need 10 of them. Then, using a marker draw five Xs and five Os. Flip the cardboard circles over and, using hot glue, attach the magnet pieces. To play Tic Tac Toe, use a dry-erase marker to draw a big hashtag sign on the fridge and let the fun begin.
Glitter Playdough
Materials:
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Food coloring of your choice
- 1 tube of colored glitter
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine oil and water, and slowly pour into dry ingredients. Mix until dough comes together. Add coloring and glitter and knead. Refrigerate until cool or break into small balls and play with immediately.
